Dear Colleagues,
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 11th International Cretaceous Symposium, which was originally planned to occur in 2021 as decided during the final session of the Vienna Symposium (2017), was postponed. One year later, the situation has not changed dramatically. However, we are hopeful that circumstances will improve over the coming year, and we do hope to have you all here, in Warsaw, in-person, next year.
As such, we cordially invite you to participate in the 11th International Symposium on the Cretaceous, which is scheduled for August 22–26, 2022, in Warsaw, Poland. This conference is intended to bring together researchers working on a range of topics pertaining to the Cretaceous, continuing a rich international tradition of such symposia.
The year 2022 is also the 200th Anniversary of the Cretaceous System. Our meeting will be an excellent occasion to celebrate this extraordinary late Mesozoic time.
Please mark your calendars and spread the information about this meeting among your colleagues and friends. The conference website (www.Cretaceous2022.com) will be progressively updated with relevant information, including – but not limited to – session proposals, workshops, and conference field trips.
With kind regards,
Ireneusz Walaszczyk, Jacek Grabowski, Agata Jurkowska, Piotr Krzywiec, Marcin Machalski, Zbigniew Remin, Jordan Todes, Alfred Uchman and Jurand Wojewoda
